Bio:
Federica Amati is an aspiring data analyst who wishes to work on human problems with a data-driven and human perspective. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Data Science and Anthropology. Federica has interned at the Florida Summer Institute of Biostatistics and Data Science and served as an undergraduate data researcher for the Gainesville City Commission for her capstone.

In this DC407 DefCon Group presentation, recent UF Data Science and Anthropology graduate Federica Amati will explore how the field of cybersecurity can thrive with the implementation of Data Science and Anthropology. Focusing on a recent cybersecurity issue, the talk will provide an outsider’s perspective on how to resolve this issue with an interdisciplinary approach.
