Talk: Introduction to Flipper Zero app development with @MrDerekJamison (YouTube) jamisonderek (Github) !!

Flipper Zero is a pocket-sized multi-tool for hacking digital systems. It originally gained traction on Kickstarter in 2020, and now it’s available from several vendors, including the Hacker Warehouse booth at DEF CON. As a fully open-source platform, Flipper Zero gives you the freedom to create your own apps or modify its firmware to suit your needs.

In today’s talk, we’ll dive into setting up a development environment for Flipper Zero applications, which is applicable to Windows, Linux, and macOS. We’ll walk through the code of a simple, single-screen app written in C, and then show you how to modify it to create your own custom application.

By writing your own apps, you’ll unlock a whole new world of possibilities with Flipper Zero—whether it’s interacting with hardware (UART, I2C, SPI, 1-Wire, bit-banging, etc.) or sending and receiving infrared and sub-GHz signals.
